E. McDonald was a nurse in Port Arthur, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario. The surrogate-court probate records list two different decedents named E. McDonald in the district; this article covers the one whose estate was probated at Port Arthur in 1892.
The estate was probated in the Thunder Bay District surrogate court in 1892 and inventoried at $950.00 (equivalent to $37,445 in 2025). She died testate, leaving a will, and was survived by eight children.[1]
