Donald McLeod (20 October 1885 – 6 June 1916 (aged 30)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment). McLeod died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
McLeod was born at Stornoway on 20 October 1885.[1]
Service
McLeod enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number 73933) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment) (28th Bn.).[1]
Death
McLeod died of missing in action on 6 June 1916, aged 30. He is commemorated at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (grave reference Panel 18 - 26 - 28).[1]
