Donald John MacDonald (22 July 1922 – 28 February 1945 (aged 22)) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. MacDonald died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
MacDonald was born at St. Andrews on 22 July 1922, the son of Daniel Angus John MacDonald and Lillian MacDonald.[1]
Service
MacDonald enlisted at Morris Lake and served as a private (service number C/115027) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment ((Motor), R).[1]
Death
MacDonald died on 28 February 1945, aged 22. He is commemorated at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference XVII. E. 4.).[1]
