Bertie Curtis (5 January 1890 – 9 April 1917 (aged 27)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Curtis died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Curtis was born on 5 January 1890, the son of Charles Curtis and Emma Curtis.[1]
Service
Curtis enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 438350) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (8th Bn.).[1]
Death
Curtis was killed in action on 9 April 1917, aged 27. He is commemorated at Ecoivres Military Cemetery (grave reference VI. L. 15.).[1]
