Bernard Clavet (29 March 1897 – 26 October 1917 (aged 20)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Clavet died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Clavet was born on 29 March 1897, the son of Adolph Clavet and Emily Clavet.[1]
Service
Clavet enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a lance corporal (service number 439723) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Clavet was killed in action at passchendaele on 26 October 1917, aged 20. He is commemorated at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (grave reference Panel 24 - 26 - 28 - 30).[1]
