Arthur Vanance (5 January 1919 – 15 February 1945 (aged 26)) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. Vanance died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Vanance was born at Kenora on 5 January 1919, husband of Rita M. Vanance.[1]
Service
Vanance enlisted at Kenora and served as a private (service number H/46291) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment ((Motor), R).[1]
Death
Vanance died of missing and presumed to be killed in action on 15 February 1945, aged 26. He is commemorated at Holten Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference XI. H. 5).[1]
