Arthur Herbert Johnson (2 June 1919 – 6 June 1944 (aged 25)) was a Canadian soldier from Port Arthur in the Royal Canadian Engineers. Johnson died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Johnson was born in Port Arthur on 2 June 1919, the son of Peter Johnson and Matilda Johnson.[1]
Service
Johnson enlisted at Winnipeg and served as a sapper (service number H/63745) in the Army, Royal Canadian Engineers.[1]
Death
Johnson died on 6 June 1944, aged 25. He is commemorated at Beny-Sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference V. C. 12.).[1]
