Archie Banks (1 July 1889 – 9 June 1916 (aged 26)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Banks died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Banks was born at Derby, Derbyshire on 1 July 1889, the son of Thomas Banks and Sarah Ann Banks.[1]
Service
Banks enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number 439777) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Banks died on 9 June 1916, aged 26. He is commemorated at Oosttaverne Wood Cemetery (grave reference VI. D. 18.).[1]
