Anthony Kucbel (17 January 1922 – 15 August 1944 (aged 22)) was a Canadian soldier from Fort William in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's). Kucbel died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Kucbel was born in Fort William on 17 January 1922, the son of Joseph Kucbel and Rosie Kucbel.[1]
Service
Kucbel enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number H/195569) in the Army, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's).[1]
Death
Kucbel died on 15 August 1944, aged 22. He is commemorated at Bretteville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference XIX. B. 7.).[1]
