Allen Fummerton (10 September 1951 – 22 November 2015 (aged 64)) was a Fort William-born paper-mill machine tender.[1][2]
Life and family
Fummerton was born in Fort William on 10 September 1951, the son of Thomas and Claire Fummerton. He spent much of his working life as a machine tender at the local paper mill, a job he took pride in, and enjoyed family, friends and animals.[1] He died on 22 November 2015, aged 64, after a long illness, survived by his children Keri and James and three sisters. His sister Bonnie died in 2002. He asked for no traditional funeral, and donations went to local animal charities.[1]
