Alfred John Halliday ((1897-07-24)24 July 1897 – 18 November 1940(1940-11-18) (aged 43)) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. Halliday died on active service during the Second World War.[1]

Early life

Halliday was born at London on 24 July 1897, the son of James W. Halliday and Laura Halliday.[1]

Service

Halliday enlisted at Winnipeg and served as a sergeant (service number H/417037) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment ((Motor), R).[1]

Death

Halliday died on 18 November 1940, aged 43. He is commemorated at Thunder Bay (Mountain View) Cemetery (grave reference Plot 2. Grave 62.).[1]
