Alfred Edward Hobbs ((1925-01-08)8 January 1925 – 22 April 1945(1945-04-22) (aged 20)) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. Hobbs died on active service during the Second World War.[1]

Early life

Hobbs was born at Wooler, Northumberland on 8 January 1925, the son of Albert George Hobbs and Mercy Hobbs.[1]

Service

Hobbs enlisted at Kingston and served as a private (service number C/123152) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment ((Motor), R).[1]

Death

Hobbs died on 22 April 1945, aged 20. He is commemorated at Holten Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference VII. E. 16.).[1]
