Alexander Chief (died (1918-12-08)8 December 1918) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Chief died on active service during the First World War.[1]

Early life

the son of James Chief and Maimie Chief.[1]

Service

Chief enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 439165) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]

Death

Chief died of phthisis on 8 December 1918, aged 26. He is commemorated at Winnipeg (St. Mary'S) Cemetery (grave reference Soldiers' Plot.).[1]
