William Smith (born 28 August 1890) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]

Smith enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 28th Overseas Battalion (regimental number 73404).[1]

On enlistment, his trade was given as labourer; his next of kin was recorded as his sister, Mrs. Ascroft, of Bray St. Preston Lancs..[1]
