William Ranton (born 25 August 1890) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Ranton was born at Newry, Ireland on 25 August 1890.[1]
Service
Ranton enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 52nd Battalion (regimental number 438289).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as laborer; his next of kin was recorded as his father, Wm Ranton, of Henry Ireland.[1]
