William McLean (born 11 August 1885) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]

McLean was born at Glasgow, Scotland on 11 August 1885.[1]
Service
McLean enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (regimental number 438767).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as laborer; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Mrs Mary McCarley McLean, of 956 May St, Sault Ste Marie, PA.[1]
In the Papers of the Thunder Bay Historical Society
Wills records that William McLean served as Clerk of the early municipality at the head of the Lakes, alongside Archibald McLaurin as Treasurer and Richard McNabb as Constable.[2]
