William John Wortley (born 4 September 1889) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]

Wortley was born at Shanty Bay, Canada on 4 September 1889.[1]
Service
Wortley enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regt. (regimental number 4079162).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as laborer; his next of kin was recorded as his father, Henry Wortley, of Shanty Bay P.O. Ontario Canada.[1]
