Usage

A hatnote: a short italic note placed at the very top of an article, above the lead, that points readers to a related or same-named page. The text may contain ordinary wikilinks (unlike {{Todo}}, which wraps its argument as a single external link).

Typical uses:

• On one of two same-named people who are NOT primary, pointing at the other or at the disambiguation page: {{Note|This article is about the man who died in 1924. For others of the same name, see [[Glen Johnson]].}}
• Any brief "see also / not to be confused with" pointer that belongs before the lead rather than in the body.

For a standalone list page that disambiguates several people, use {{Disambiguation}} instead.
