Site 41 is a proposed mega waste disposal site located above a pure-water aquifer.[1]

  • December 2013: The development of Site 41 was halted after peaceful protests and rallies involving Beausoleil First Nation women and local farmers starting in 2008. Municipal officials initially planned to build the Site 41 dump without consulting local First Nations.[1]
