Mountain View Cemetery is a cemetery in the former city of Fort William, now Thunder Bay, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario. It is the place of interment recorded in a large number of Fort William death notices and Ontario death registrations, and it holds a war plot in which Commonwealth war dead are commemorated as Thunder Bay (Mountain View) Cemetery.[1][2][3]
Recorded interments
- Gilbert Spence, Hudson's Bay Company post master and factor, in February 1912, following a service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.[1]
- Annie Jane Marcell, a resident of Fort William for 89 years, in March 1956, following a funeral from St. Luke's Anglican Church.[2]
War graves
- Commonwealth war dead buried here are commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission under the name Thunder Bay (Mountain View) Cemetery, with a designated war plot.[3]
