Michael Joseph Smith (born 13 July 1879) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Smith was born at Chicora, United States on 13 July 1879.[1]
Service
Smith enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 230th Forestry Battalion (regimental number 1013660).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as laborer; his next of kin was recorded as his father, Henry Joseph Smith, of Latrobe, Pa. U.S.A..[1]
