Lakehead Technical Institute rugby team

From thunderbay.wiki

The Lakehead Technical Institute rugby team was the school's rugby football side in the 1950–51 season, captained by Wallace Dubinsky and coached by Don Clark.[1] The team played only exhibition games, two of them before the first snowfall, in new grey and red sweaters.[2] (See Lakehead Technical Institute Men's Athletic Society.)

1950 season

Although it lacked the previous year's quantity of men, the team was described as every bit as strong, with a brilliant backfield and a solid line. It won its first game, against the Fort William All-Stars, 13–12, and lost its second to the Port Arthur All-Stars, 4–0.[1]
