John Young (born 26 April 1882) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]

Young was born at Dalmellington, Scotland on 26 April 1882.[1]
Service
Young enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1st Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment (regimental number 2383827).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as iron moulder.; his next of kin was recorded as his father, William Young, of 10 Woodside Terrace, New Stevenston, Holytown, P.O. Lanarkshire County, Scotland..[1]
