John Russell (born 9 August 1889) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Russell was born at Glasgow, Scotland on 9 August 1889.[1]
Service
Russell enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 28th Battalion (regimental number 73039).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as baker; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Eliza Russell, of + 13 Mareno St. Maryhill, Glasgow.[1]
