John R. Swift (born April 1847) was the father of Eugenia Swift.

Early life

John R. Swift's mother was Elizabeth Watson; she was born in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland, around 1816.

She met and married an Englishman and had John.

John immigrated to America with his family in 1864 at age 17.

Marriages

He had two wives. The first, Caroline Roop ((1863-12-24)24 December 1863 – 10 April 1888(1888-04-10) (aged 24)), died at age 24 in childbirth with Randall:
