John Lawrence Ryan (born 21 August 1889) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]

Ryan was born at Chicago, United States on 21 August 1889.[1]
Service
Ryan enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regt. (regimental number 2383631).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as railway operator; his next of kin was recorded as his father, John Ryan, of 118 West 78th Street, New York City, New York, U.S.A..[1]
