Hudson's Bay Company (fl. 1894) was a historic trading company incorporated in 1670 with multiple retail and trading operations across the Thunder Bay district in 1894.[1]
Hudson's Bay Company operated as general merchants and fur buyers in Fort William, with a store at the corner of Simpson and Dease Streets managed by H. Marlatt; the company also advertised as direct importers of dry goods, groceries, wines, liquors, and cigars from principal world markets. Additional branches operated as general stores in Mazokama, Nipigon (managed by J. C. Cowie), and Savanne. The Nipigon location advertised the supply of outfitting goods for tourists visiting the Nipigon trout stream.
