Williams was born at Breage, Cornwall, England on 17 September 1885.[1]

Williams enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regt. (regimental number 2383620).[1]

Attestation

On enlistment, his trade was given as carpenter; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Grace Williams, of 44 Townsend St. Cambone. Cornwall. England..[1]
