Fred Paterson (born 12 September 1897) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Paterson was born at Upper Kennetcook, Hants County, Canada on 12 September 1897.[1]
Service
Paterson enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 10MD, 1st Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment (regimental number 2383480).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as lumber jack and farmer; his next of kin was recorded as his father, Alexander Paterson, of Upper Kennicook, Hans County Nova Scotia Canada.[1]
Marriage
A Fred Paterson, of Upsala, married Jessie Duncan on 28 January 1926 at United Church in Fort William, with Rev. Prestin officiating. The couple settled in Upsala following the marriage.[2]
