Zellers had five stores in Thunder Bay. They were at the Northwood Mall (Northwood Park Plaza), County Fair Plaza on Dawson Road, the Intercity Shopping Centre, the Thunder Bay Mall on Arthur Street West, and in downtown Port Arthur at St. Paul Street and Red River Road. An earlier store stood on Victoria Avenue in Fort William; its building later housed Pattenick's.[10][11]

  • Northwood Mall: the store operated for about thirty years. Roby's restaurant was in the mall just outside its doors, and a Dollarama later occupied the site.[11] Nancy Harris worked there, and Patrick Rybar worked in its stockroom as a teenager.[11]
  • County Fair Plaza: from 1972 to 1975 the store was open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.[11] It was the first job of Katja Joanna Ritchie.[11]
  • Auto centres: in the 1970s the County Fair and Northwood stores each had an auto repair centre. After the centres closed, the space became a pop shop.[11]
  • Thunder Bay Mall: the store took over a former Kmart. According to a former shopper, it became a Zellers around 1996 and a Walmart in 2012.[11]
  • The Thunder Bay stores had in-store restaurants.[10][11]
